New Tyrols Detailed Search Engine Announced

Tyrols displays a simple and clean user interface, has unique features such as showing details users want to see for a search result, and is the result of a search process in development for a number of years.

Huntington Beach, Calif. March 20, 2008 - Tyrols (www.tyrols.com) announced release of its detailed search engine. This search engine has the following features:
  • Detailed listings
  • Organic Shopping search
  • Advanced search
Detailed Listings - This search engine differs from other search engines in that it pre-analyzes matching sites for the details the user might want to see. Then these are presented as direct links below the usual type of search engine listing.

An example of this would be a user searching for music files. If he searched for 'beatles', and found 300 matching sites, he would have to browse all 300 to look for links to music files. On Tyrols, only those sites which have music file links are shown, saving the user a lot of time and effort. (Example: beatles )

Similar results are shown for the other categories:

  • Web: Title, metakeywords, and metadescriptions
  • Images: Direct links to images on the page ,with a thumbnail display of the image
  • Video: Direct links to video files on the search result page
  • Music: Direct links to music files on the page
  • Shopping: Any info that appears to be a price for a product, or a description of a product
  • Business: Any street addresses or phone numbers. Street address may include company name
An example of each of these categories follows for the search term "camera":

Organic Shopping - On Tyrols Shopping results are gathered on every search result, not just online vendors. In other words sites that appear to be selling something are found organically, not by a sponsorship or advertising fee. Sites with what appears to be pricing information are shown, ones without price information are not shown. So you could enter perhaps 'Hawaii' and press the 'Shopping' tab, and see prices for vacations to or books about Hawaii. (Example: Hawaii )

Being brand new on the marketplace, search results are limited. When desired results are not available, some alternate sample results are shown just to give an idea what the search results look like. Each entered argument not found is added to the search databases via a queued search spider. That way, a later try of the same argument may produce results. The spidering initiative will increase in its scope over time. In addition, by clicking the 'Advanced' tab, a link is shown which allows the user to see a list of all the current results for all topics available in the engine.

Advanced Search - This feature is superior to these types of offerings under other search engines, in that it is easy to understand and operate. The Advanced search allows you to check boxes for the exact type of file you want to find, for instance, 'pdf' files. Then enter your search argument, and only web sites with that specific file type are shown, greatly reducing your search time for an item. In addition, you can specify a character string which must be in the found file name. For example, check the box for '.jpg' , then type 'ricoh nikon canon' in the blank 'Phrases for data to match' . Then search for 'camera' . Only images containing these names will be shown. ( camera )

Search has been highly refined by other widely known search engines, but the features listed here are fairly unique to Tyrols, and will be of benefit to the users.
